Life isn’t fair

Life isn’t fair

I guess I missed the “Life isn’t Fair” memo at birth. Did you get it?  I’ve been living in a fantasy world since I flew out of the womb, then I moved to a cave in Alaska, so I really had no idea that life wasn’t fair. Shocking, I tell you. The last blind, deaf, mute, black, Jewish gay midget in a wheelchair with MS I spoke with begs to differ. Then again, what does he know?

Our inboxes are crammed with nonsensical spam. We receive automated DM’s via Twitter. Facebook is embracing censorship. There is actually a political party that’s named after dangling ball sacks over a person’s mouth. Religious intolerance is the impetus for the majority of wars in the world. Kids bring guns to schools. Teens commit suicide over sexting, being gay, pregnancy and bad grades, to name a few. Kids get their asses kicked for, you got it, being gay. Local businesses and community non-profit organizations have had to shut their doors due to lack of customers and funding. What health insurance?

Way to go.

Bravo.

We rock.

We don’t just embrace the unfairness of life, we’ve taken the express train all the way to the fucking gutter.

Go us.

My spin: Life is blissfully ignorant

So true. Life isn’t fair. Never has been. Never will be. But death is fair. It treats everyone equally. Lights out. Peace. Quiet.
