November 9-11, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Help NYC Recover from Hurricane Sandy

We have clear weather on the way—and we plan on taking advantage of it to put hundreds of volunteers into hard-hit neighborhoods to help residents and businesses rebuild. It’s important work—collecting and delivering much-needed food and supplies, clearing out debris to help homeowners, and checking on elderly tenants that have gone without heat and water for days.

Below are opportunities happening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Please RSVP with the link for each event, and you’ll be contacted by event organizers with full details.

We have more on the way—as community groups assemble their weekend events we’ll send an updated email tomorrow with even more volunteer and donation opportunities.

We update our index of volunteer needs daily at http://action.advocate.nyc.gov/volunteer_list
