I have a love/hate relationship with this cliché. If love wasn’t blind, who would bother falling?! Conversely, I wonder if this cliché shouldn’t be, “Love is deaf, blind and mute“, evidenced by the quantity of shitlationships so many of us have had. And, because some of the best relationships maintained their longevity because each turned a blind eye.
What do you think?
I have seen a few couples where I was thinking that love HAD to be blind, some that I thought it must be deaf and mute too.. LOL Agreed.
I think to stay in a relationship for an extended period of time you have to “turn a blind eye” at times, bite your tongue many times and play dumb often..
I think “Love is Involuntary” is a more accurate expression.
