Many hands make light work
This cliché is just plain stupid for more reasons than I can count. First of all, what kind of hands? Big hands? Little hands? Fingerless hands? Parkinson’s hands? Graves’ disease hands? Hyperthyroid hands? Wheelchair bound hands in a two story house without ramps or an elevator? Hands without a human attached?
Get real!
Worse, when I invite those hands over to my house to clean alongside me, likely, I’ll have to feed them and be nice. Can you imagine? Cleaning makes me sweat, so if I’m shvitsing like a $10 dollar whore blowing a John under the Verrazano Bridge who won’t cum within 30 minutes; you just know I’m going to be one pissy little bitch.
My spin on this cliché, Hire a maid and get the fuck out.
Roasted Butternut and Onions
Serves 6 (can be made a day ahead and heated up later)
1 butternut squash, peeled and cubed into 2 inch pieces
2 medium red onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
1-2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons lemon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Combine all ingredients in a 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Toss to coat and bake for 35 minutes or so, until the butternut is fork tender and nicely browned.
Devivo, this is a great recipe. I’m trying it this weekend. I’ll keep you posted. Thank you so much for sending my way!
Hey cool, I get a good chuckle from your post, I agree on the maid btw, then find a nice looking recipe hiding in the comment section. Unless leaving a recipe is part of the comment section, in which case, I am a poor excuse for a commenter..
